Welcome Seahawks
The Rolling Hills Swim & Dive program includes the swim team, the dive team, and the Mini Seahawks program. We compete in the Northern Virginia Swimming League (NVSL) and also are a member of the Springfield-Burke Developmental League.
The NVSL was founded in 1956 to sponsor competitive swimming and diving among the community swimming pools in the area of Northern Virginia contiguous to the District of Columbia, and to develop in the children participating in this program --
A love for the sport, advanced aquatic skills, teamwork, and the principles of good sportsmanship.
Swim & Dive Team Membership
We invite members' children, age 5-18, to join the swim & dive team or Mini Seahawks program. The swim and dive season begins in late May with practices daily and ends with a family banquet at the end of July. Swim meets are held Saturday mornings and Monday evenings. Dive meets are held on Tuesday evenings. The team is run exclusively by volunteers. It is the commitment of each team member and family to participate in the efforts to make swim and dive season enjoyable to all.
The swim & dive teams are not just about competition. One of our main objectives is that participating children have fun while improving their swimming and diving skills. Our developmental swim meets, held on Monday evenings, are for all team members to improve and enhance their swimming skills in a competitive but fun environment. The Seahawks also have a number of team related social activities - so the fun is not limited to the water. If you have any questions regarding the swim & dive team or Mini Seahawks program, we encourage you to contact a team rep. New swimmers and divers will be evaluated by the coaching staff during Evaluations. If an athlete cannot fulfill the minimum requirements of the team then they may be asked to work on their skills outside of the team and return the next season.
